What kind of fishing will I be doing?
Bottom fishing with rod and reel.
How far does the boat go out?
On 5 and 6 hour trips the boat goes about 20 miles offshore. On 8 hour trips or more, the boat goes anywhere from 20-30 miles offshore depending on where the fish are biting.
What are the departure times?
All Departures 8 am — from November 1st to mid-March
- 6 Hour Trip: 7 am – 1 pm and 8 am – 2 pm (2nd boat) (Nov. 1st to mid March 8 am – 2 pm)
- 5 Hour Trip: 2:30 – 7:30 pm
- 8 Hour Trip: 8 am – 4 pm
What discounts do you offer?
- Senior Citizen (62 and older) 10% off
- Military and immediate family members 10% off
- Snowbird Special: January 1st – February 28th. Please contact us for discount details.
What is maximum capacity?
SWOOP I & II are Coast Guard approved for 49 passengers. We take no more than 40 fishing.
What is included in th price?
- Fishing license
- Friendly, experienced captain and mates
- All rods and reels
- All bait and lures
- Fish cleaning
- All instruction necessary to catch fish
- All safety gear
Can I use braided line?
Braided line can not be used on the boat when you bring your own gear.
What do I need to bring?
- Food and drinks for the day – no hard alcohol
- Camera / Video
- Warm jacket
- Rain gear – even if it looks nice, bring it along
What if I might get seasick?
You can take one Dramamine before bedtime and one tablet an hour before departure. HarborWalk Marina also has a stock of Motion Eaze, which is a liquid you put behind your ear even after you get sick.
What if I only want my group on the boat?
We offer private charters for $450 per hour for up to 45 passengers (40 fishing per trip).
Do I get to keep my fish?
Yes! You keep what you catch. When you get back to the docks your mates will hang your fish for a picture, and clean and bag your fish.
